Proiect de educatie cinematografica
Proiectul se inscrie in eforturile europene din ultimii ani de a introduce educatia cinematografica in scolile primare si secundare prin modificarea programei scolare sau prin activitati didactice complementare, puse la punct in parteneriat cu sectorul cinematografic si audiovizual. Printr-un program de proiectii intr-o sala de cinema, urmat de discutii pe marginea temelor sociale si culturale intalnite in filmele vizionate si insotit de materiale didactice, proiectul Cinema.edu isi propune sa ofere elevilor instrumente de lectura a materialelor audiovizuale specifice varstei lor.

Acest film este o lume a minunilor, cu o abundenta de aer fantastic, inventii submarine si pamantesti, plus un laborator urias intr-un crater vulcanic si o batalie epica cu un calamar gigant. Inventatorul ingenios al unui explozibil puternic este rapit de un conte asemanator capitanului Nemo, care-l poarta catre o insula misterioasa unde intentioneaza sa foloseasca inventia cu scopuri malefice. Cu toate acestea, asistentul credincios al inventatorului reuseste sa opreasca planurile contelui de a cuceri lumea. Acest film, primul in care Zeman introduce combinatia unica de actori, papusi, desene animate si ilustratii bazate pe romanele lui Verne, i-a adus acestuia premiul Expo la Bruxelles Expo 1958, si multe alte premii la festivalurile din Franta.

The project is part of the last years European efforts of introducing a cinematographic education in the primary and secondary school, by modifying the curriculum or by complementary educational activities, arranged in partnership with the film and audio-visual sector. Through a series of projections in the cinema, followed by discussions on the social and cultural themes of the recently seen movies and accompanied by plenty of teaching materials, Cinema.edu project strives to offer the students specific lecture-instruments for the comprehension of the audio-visual materials, appropriate to their age.

THE DEADLY INVENTION
This film is a world of wonders, containing a plethora of fantastic air, undersea, and earthbound inventions, plus a giant laboratory in a volcanic crater and an epic slugfest with a giant squid. The ingenious inventor of a powerful explosive is abducted by a count similar to Captain Nemo, who carries him off to a mysterious island, where he plans to put his invention into evil use. But the inventor’s faithful assistant comes to rescue, foiling the villain’s plans to conquer the world. This film—the first to feature Zeman’s unique combination of actors, puppets, and cartoons based on the original steel-engraved illustrations of Verne’s novels-earned him an Expo Award at the 1958 Brussels Expo, as well as several prizes at festivals in France.
