Primul lucru pe care il vezi cand intri in orasul Victoria este un monument de piatra in forma literei “V”. “V” de la Victoria, “V” de la Visul comunist, care a lasat in urma, la poalele muntilor Fagaras, o plomba de ciment cu denivelari cubice infipta cu brutalitate intr-un peisaj natural de vis. Filmul documentar VICTORIA este o poveste de dragoste intre oameni si orasul lor, este o relatie fortata intre lipsa identitatii orasului si continua justificare a identitatii de catre localnici.

VICTORIA este partea a 2-a dupa ”METROBRANDING – o poveste de dragoste intre oameni si obiecte”, din “Trilogia Oraselor”.

ENGLISH VERSION

The first thing you see when entering in Victoria city is a stone monument in shape of the letter „V“. „V“ stands from Victoria, but also from the communist dream which left behind a cement filling at the foot of the Fagaras Mountains. Cubical bumps brutally thrust into a dream landscape. The documentary film „Victoria“ is a love story between men and their city, a forced relationship between the lack of identityof the city and the continous justification of the identity by the locals.

The movie is the second part of the planned trilogy by Ana Vlad and Adi Voicu, following the movie Metrobranding, which has been screened as pre-premiere at the Czech Centre in 2010.
