Milos Forman
Milos Forman s-a nascut in 1932 in Cehoslovacia si este cunoscut ca regizor, scenarist, actor si profesor.

Pot sa transforme in realitate acest vis? Si chiar isi doresc sa reuseasca?

ENGLISH VERSION

Milos Forman
Milos Forman was born in 1932 in Cehoslovakia and is a well known director, screenwriter, actor and professor. His first feature film, Black Peter (1963) won him the Golden Leopard at Locarno and spread his name around Europe. The following films made in his homeland – Loves of a Blonde (1965) and Firemen’s Ball (1967) are made with a tent of social satire and stand up against the conformist and communist productions of the era. Among his famous films are One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Hair, Amadeus and the biographic movies Larry Flynt, Man on the Moon and Goya’s Ghosts.

A Walk Worthwhile
A Walk Worthwhile is a famous musical written by the legendary couple Jiri Suchý-Jiri Slitr in 1965. I 2007, the show was readapted for the stage by Milos Forman and his sons, Petr – scenographer and Matej – scenery responsable. This new adventure gave birth to this version for the big screen. Married since their youth, Uli and Vanilla are about to sign the divorce papers when a misterious note from Liverpool messes with their plans. The letter informs them of the death of a wealthy aunt and the inheritance worth 1 million pounds, that she left to the unborn child of the young couple. This unique chance of getting rich gets them very excited and they try to find a quick way to get their hands on the money.

Firemen’s Ball

The members of a fire brigade from a provincial city organise a big party, for the anniversary of their ex-boss. Unfortunately, nothing happens according to the initial plan, wheather it’s about the stealing of the raffle awards, or the fact that the female participants at the beauty contest aren’t that beautiful.

Loves of a Blonde
Young Andula, worker in a shoe factory from a cehoslovak provincial city, dreams of big love. Disappointed by the men from her town, she falls in love for the charming pianist of a band that was touring around the country. She follows him in Prague, to her parents‘ dispair.

Black Peter
Petr is only 17 and works as a superviser in a self-service shop, without any success in the catching of the thieves that steal from the shelves. Beside that, the boy lives his first love story in a very awkward manner, and home, at night, has to put up with his always unhappy father’s preaches.
Black Peter  is Milos Forman’s first feature film and won him the Golden Leopard Price at the Locarno Film Festival in 1964.

Dreamers
Linda, Radim, Tonda, Otakar, Dagmara and Silvie are friends since childhood. Now they are about 30 years old and they live in Prague. Their great dreams didn’t come true and everybody’s starting to feel  his own failure. During a party held in their hometown, they recall the teenage dreams: to buy a farm, to live together and, the most important, to have fun. Can they turn this plan into reality? And do they really want to?
