CHIC TRAMP
“On my feet each and every day. The machinery starts running at sunrise, when it sets, I go to sleep. The fiber dust, the odor of the paint, rainbow spills of oil and rattling machinery. All that changes throughout Saturday afternoon. On my way from the station, I hear the creek bubbling and smell the scent of the woods. The sun is setting and I hear the fire cracking, the sound of a guitar faintly infiltrates silence. I feel free and unbound. I’m Lida no more. My friends call me Leeda.”
