Tomas Sedlacek (34), member of Czech government´s National Economic Council, advisor of Czech ex-president Vaclav Havel and one of leading world young economists as named by Yale Economic Review, arrives to Bucharest to an event „ECONOMICS OF GOOD AND EVIL” organised by the Czech Centre and Czech Embassy in Bucharest on Tuesday, September 27.

Tomas Sedlacek an economist, but he goes far beyond the pure field of economics, approaching it from positions few really do – one can say he is an ‘economist without numbers’. He is definitelly a real phenomenon and also an excellent speaker“, says Rene Kubasek, director of the Czech Centre in Bucharest.

In 2010 Tomas Sedlacek released a provocative book “Economics of Good and Evil”, which was highly praised by Financial Times and Washington Post.

Tomas Sedlacek has shaken the study of economics as few ever have… Placing the wisdom of philosophers and poets over strict mathematical models of human behavior, Sedlacek’s groundbreaking work promises to change the way we calculate economic value“, Oxford University Press said in its introduction of the book.
