Tomas Sedlacek, cehul superstar in economie soseste in Bucuresti sa discute despre etica in afaceri si sa prezinte o piesa de teatru

Tomas Sedlacek (34), membru in Consiliului Economic National al Guvernului Ceh, consilier al fostului presedinte Vaclav Havel si unul dintre tinerii economisti de top potrivit Yale Economic Review, soseste in Bucuresti in cadrul evenimentului “ECONOMIA BINELUI SI A RAULUI”, organizat de catre Centrul Ceh din Bucuresti marti, 27 Septembrie.
“Economist, Tomas Sedlacek depaseste domeniul economiei, abordandu-l dintr-o perspectiva putin explorata – s-ar putea spune ca este “un economist care a renuntat la numere “. Cu siguranta e un fenomen si un remarcabil speaker”, spune Rene Kubasek, directorul Centrului Ceh din Bucuresti.
In 2010 Tomas Sedlacek a scris o carte provocatoare, “Economia Binelui si a Raului”, intens aclamata de Financial Times si Washington Post.
“Tomas Sedlacek a zguduit studiul economiei cum putini au facut-o… Analizand modelele matematice ale comportamentului uman prin prisma poetilor si a filozofilor, Sedlacek promite schimbarea modalitatii de a calcula valoarea economica”, noteaza Oxford University Press in introducerea la carte.
Seria de evenimente de pe 27 Septembrie din Bucuresti va incepe la ora 10.00 printr-o discutie panel despre etica in afaceri. Alaturi de Tomas Sedlacek la discutie vor mai lua parte antreprenorul roman Sebastian Ghita si presedintele Camerei Romane de Comert, Raymond A Breden. Discutia va fi urmata de prezentarea bestsellerului “Economia Binelui si a Raului”, de la ora 12.00.
Intrarea la evenimentul ce va avea loc la Biblioteca Centrala Universitara Carol I este libera odata ce ati confirmat prezenta la bucharest@embassy.mzv.cz
Evenimentul va fi urmat de o piesa de teatru – adaptare dupa carte, incepind cu ora 19.00 la Teatrul Odeon. Piesa a fost jucata in regim de casa inchisa pe scena Teatrului National din Praga, iar spectacolul din Bucuresti va constitui premiera internationala a acesteia. Biletele, cu pretul de 26, 50 RON, sunt disponible la Teatrul Odeon (Calea Victoriei 40).

Czech economic superstar Tomas Sedlacek arrives to Bucharest to discuss about ethics in business and to present a theatre show

Tomas Sedlacek (34), member of Czech government´s National Economic Council, advisor of Czech ex-president Vaclav Havel and one of leading world young economists as named by Yale Economic Review, arrives to Bucharest to an event „ECONOMICS OF GOOD AND EVIL” organised by the Czech Centre and Czech Embassy in Bucharest on Tuesday, September 27.
“Tomas Sedlacek an economist, but he goes far beyond the pure field of economics, approaching it from positions few really do – one can say he is an ‘economist without numbers’. He is definitelly a real phenomenon and also an excellent speaker“, says Rene Kubasek, director of the Czech Centre in Bucharest.
In 2010 Tomas Sedlacek released a provocative book “Economics of Good and Evil”, which was highly praised by Financial Times and Washington Post.
“Tomas Sedlacek has shaken the study of economics as few ever have… Placing the wisdom of philosophers and poets over strict mathematical models of human behavior, Sedlacek’s groundbreaking work promises to change the way we calculate economic value“, Oxford University Press said in its introduction of the book.
The series of events on September 27 in Bucharest will start at 10.00 by a panel discussion about ethics in business. Along with Tomas Sedlacek, Romanian enterpreneur Sebastian Ghita and President of the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce, Raymond A Breden, will take part in it. The discussion will be followed by a presentation of the bestseller “Economics of Good and Evil” at 12.00.
The admission to the event, taking place in Biblioteca Centrala Universitara Carol I, is free after confirming attendance at bucharest@embassy.mzv.cz
The event will follow by a theatre play based on the book, starting at 19.00 at Teatrul Odeon. The play has sold out National Theatre in Prague and the show in Bucharest will be its international premiere. The tickets for the show are available for 26,50 RON at Teatrul Odeon (Calea Victoriei 40).
