Seminar/prezentare/lectura organizate de Societas Romano-Bohemica

Invitat de onoare: prof. dr. Emil Constantinescu, presedintele României 1996–2000
Profesorii si studentii bohemisti precum si invitatii lor vor evoca, prin texte si amintiri, personalitatea lui Vaclav Havel.
Evenimentul va fi urmat de lansarea cartii cuprinzand piese de teatru apartinand lui Vaclav Havel, volum publicat la editura “Curtea Veche”.

16h00 / Cetateanul Havel (Obcan Havel), regia Pavel Koutecky & Miroslav Janek (2008, 120 min.) / Proiectie la NCRR, MTR

Filmul documentar prezinta 15 ani din viata lui Havel, in timpul mandatului de presedinte si dupa aceasta, fiind mai mult decat un simplu document. Filmat intr-o maniera remarcabil de intima, se contureaza un portret realist al sefului de stat devenit dramaturg, in cadrul unei perioade tumultuoase.

O comedie dulce-acrisoara care urmareste viata unui inalt politician, o data ce acesta renunta la pozitia sa, dupa multi ani in serviciul statului. Primul si singurul film regizat de Vaclav Havel, bazat pe scenariul propriei piese de teatru.

Guest of honour: prof. dr. Emil Constantinescu, President of Romania 1996–2000
Professors and students of Czech studies as well as their guests will recall, through texts and memories, personality of Václav Havel.
The event will be followed by book launch of book of plays by Václav Havel: “Leaving”, “Largo desolato” and “The Garden Party”, published by Curtea Veche Publishing.

Documentary movie depicting fifteen years of Havel’s life, in presidential function and after. But it is much more than just a document. Remarkably intimate cinema verite portrait of playwright-turned-statesman Vaclav Havel is a revealing look at a tumultuous period.
