”Leaving” regizat de Vaclav Havel va fi proiectat in Bucuresti cu ocazia celebrarii celei de a 75-a aniversare a acestuia

Centrul Ceh si Ambasada Republicii Cehe in Bucuresti organizeaza miercuri 5 octombrie o serie de evenimente dedicate celebrarii celei de-a 75-a zile de nastere a fostului presedinte al Cehoslovaciei si al Republicii Cehe, Vaclav Havel.

Programul include proiectiile unui documentar special, „Cetateanul Havel” si a unui foarte recent film regizat de Havel, „Leaving” –  dupa o piesa care ii apartine, expozitie de fotografii facute de Oldrich Skacha si conferinta despre Vaclav Havel – scriitor si dramaturg.


Starea mea de sanatate nu imi permite sa calatoresc si de aceea ingaduiti-mi sa va salut macar de la distanta si sa va multumesc pentru ca va aduceti aminte de ziua mea de nastere, cand implinesc 75 de ani. Nu este un lucru obisnuit, iar eu sunt bucuros si emotionat.” a transmis Vaclav Havel cu ocazia evenimentului organizat in Bucuresti.

Programul zilei:

12.00 – 14.00: Vaclav Havel: scriitor si dramaturg (aula Bibliotecii Centrale Universitare ”Carol I”), Seminar/prezentare/lectura organizate de Societas Romano-Bohemica. In timpul actiunii va avea loc lansarea volumului cu piesele de teatru ale Vaclav Havel care a aparut la editura Curtea Veche.

16.00 – Citizen Havel, regia Pavel Koutecky, Miroslav Janek (2008), 120min (Proiectie la NCRR): Film documentar care prezinta 15 ani din viata lui Havel in timpul mandatului sau de presedinte si dupa incheierea mandatului, film care este mai mult decat un simplu document. Filmat intr-o maniera remarcabil de intima, acest portret realist se contureaza in cadrul unei perioade tumultuoase.

18.30 – Leaving, regia Vaclav Havel (2011), 97 min (Proiectie la NCRR). O comedie dulce-amara care urmareste viata unui inalt politician, dupa ce acesta a renuntat la pozitia sa pusa in slujba statului de-a lungul multor ani. Primul si unicul film regizat de Vaclav Havel, avand la baza scenariul propriei sale piese de teatru.

20.30 – Vaclav Havel: dizident/presedinte/cetatean (Sala Aquarium, MTR). Vernisajul expozitiei de fotografie organizata de Oldrich Skacha, prietenul si fotograful personal al lui Vaclav Havel. O suita de fotografii realizate in perioada 1968 – 2011. Vernisajul va fi deschis de fostul presedinte al Romaniei, Emil Constantinescu, si va fi incheiata cu un pahar de vin si bere. Expozitia va fi deschisa pana pe 23 octombrie 2011.

Intrarea la toate evenimentele este libera.

Vaclav Havel’s recent film Leaving will be screened as part of his 75th birthday celebration in Bucharest

Bucharest, October 3, 2011

Czech Centre together with the Czech Embassy in Bucharest will organise, on Wednesday Ocotber 5th, a day full of events celebrating the 75th anniversary of the former Czech President Vaclav Havel.

The programme includes screenings of a unique documentary „Citizen Havel” and the very recent movie directed by Havel based on his own play „Leaving”, exhibition of photograps by Oldrich Skacha and conference about Vaclav Havel – writer and playwrite.

On the occassion Vaclav Havel sent a message to Romania, saying: „My health conditions do not allow me to travel, that is why I would like to greet you at least distantly and to thank that you remembered in this way of my 75th anniversary. It is not a common thing to do, and I am happy and truly moved by this.

Programme of the event:

12.00 – 14.00: Vaclav Havel:  writer and playwright (Biblioteca Centrala Universitara Carol I) lecture/presentation/reading organised by Societas Romano-Bohemica.The event will be accompanied by book launch of book of plays by Vaclav Havel: “Leaving”, “Largo desolato” and “The Garden Party”, published by Curtea Veche Publishing.

16.00 – Citizen Havel (Obcan Havel), dir. Pavel Koutecky, Miroslav Janek (2008), 120min (Screening at NCRR MTR). Documentary movie depicting fifteen years of Havel’s life, in presidential function and after. But it is much more than just a document. Remarkably intimate cinema verite portrait of playwright-turned-statesman Vaclav Havel is a revealing look at a tumultuous period.

18.30 – Leaving (Odchazeni), dir. Vaclav Havel (2011), 97 min (Screening at NCRR MTR), 35mm print. A bitter sweet comedy that follows a highly appointed Chancellor who set to step down from his position after years of service to his country. First and only movie directed by Václav Havel, based on his own play.

20.30 Vaclav Havel: disident/president/citizen (Sala Acuarium, MTR). Opening of photo exhibition by friend and personal photographer of Vaclav Havel, Oldrich Skacha. Series of photographs made throughout the years 1968 – 2011. The event will be opened by the former President of Romania, Mr Emil Constantinescu.

Admission to all events is free.
