Midi Lidi crează un electro-pop inteligent, care mixează ironic muzica pop contemporană cu sunetele electronice ale anilor ’90. Membrii trupei sunt Prokop Holoubek, protagonist pe scena electronică din Brno, Petr Marek, cineast, dramaturg și profesor la FAMU și Tomino Kelar, fost membru al trupei engleze The Mountaineers. Formată în 2006, Midi Lidi a devenit cunoscută odată cu lansarea albumului de debut “Čekání na robota”/Așteptându-l pe robot și mai târziu, datorită celui de-al doilea album “Hastrmans, Tatrmans & Bubáks”. Combinând beat-uri repetitive cu versuri minimaliste, muzica lor radiază căldură și bucurie, iar show-urile lor sunt vizuale și energice.
Midi Lidi has its own brand of intelligent electro-pop which combines, with an ironic twist, contemporary pop music with ‘90s electro vibes. The band consists of Prokop Holoubeck, a famous artist on the electronic stage in Brno, Petr Marek, who is active as a filmmaker, playwright and professor at FAMU, and Tomino Kelar, a former member of the English band The Mountaineers. Midi Lidi came into existence in 2006 and started to become famous with the release of their first album, “Čekání na robota” (“Waiting for the robot“). Subsequently, their popularity increased as they signed their second album, “Hastrmans, Tatrmans & Bubáks”. By mixing repetitive beats with minimalist lyrics, their music has a distinctive note of joy and warmth. Midi Lidi shows are remarkable thanks to their astonishing energy and visuals.
