A doua editie a competitiei are loc in martie-aprilie 2008 si va testa talentul tinerilor designeri romani la categoriile: design grafic, design industrial, design auto, design vestimentar, design de ambalaj, design 3D, web design si freestyle design.

Gratuit pentru finalistii concursului Filter Design si pentru 4 bursieri UNA

ENGLISH VERSION

Filter Design Competition is not just a competition; it’s an intense learning session and a communication platform between employers and the potential employees. It’s main objective is to contribute to the growth of importance and quality of design in Romania. This year Filter has expanded its horizons, including more sections – graphic design, industrial design, auto design, clothing design, packaging design, 3D design, web design & freestyle design.

Within this competition, the Czech Center together with Škoda organizes a conference and a workshop on auto design held by Peter Wouda. The topic of the conference will be a general introduction in auto and industrial design (a field that is not taught anywhere in Romania yet). The workshop will focus on the process of design and production, from the first sketches to the actual car. The example that we will follow will be the Škoda Roomster, a car that was supposed to be only a study-model, but due to the positive feedback, it was developed into a serial car. Also, Peter Wouda will talk about the process within a big car company like Škoda or Volkswagen (how does it work? who is involved? how long does it take?) and will show the participants where do you start when designing a car.

At the conference and workshop zou can see the original drawings of Roomster, together with the 1:1 model shown at the Frankfurt International Salon (IAA) in 2003 and a real Roomster car.

The conference is open to public.
The workshop-fee is 75 euros. Free admission for the finalists of Filter and 4 scholarships from the National University of Arts.
