Documentarul porneste de la doua sorti uluitoare. Gaston este leul de mare pe care in timpul inundatiilor de la
Praga din 2002, apele raului Vltava l-au purtat din gradina zoologica din Praga pana in Germania unde localnicii l-au
confundat cu castor. Odysseus este foca mutata in anii 50 din Sardinia in Fontana Di Trevi pentru a atrage mai multi turisti.
Foca mediteraneana reprezenta in timpul lui Homer cea mai raspandita populatie din Marea Mediterana. In era noastra a fost inlocuita de fiinta numita OM si astfel a devenit o specie pe cale de disparitie. In locul unde altadata au trait foci astazi se construieste un acvariu cu animale de mare. In locul unde altadata stateau la soare colonii intregi astazi se construiesc noi hoteluri.
Un documentar cu iz de fabula care povesteste soarta animalelor care au influentat viata noastra… si felul in care le-am schimbat si noi viata lor.

ENGLISH VERSION

The feature-length documentary tells two stories teaching a lesson about human nature. The first one shows Gaston the sea lion which was carried off by flood waters down the Vltava river as far as Germany. After its death, the Prague ZOO set up a monument for the animal. Fifty years earlier, another sea lion called Odysseus was put into the Fontana di Trevi in Rome, Italy. The animal world meets with that of humans. The beaches of the Mediterranean Sea – formerly full of sea lions – are now full of people who go on hunting tours. What is the domestication of animals, and what is the domestication of people?
