Bicicleta are multe avantaje în comparaţie cu alte mijloace de transport: nu generează emisii, deci nu poluează aerul, este cunoscut ca cel mai eficient mijloc de transport, din punct de vedere energetic, este sănătos pentru cel care îl foloseşte.
Bicicleta este, adesea, cel mai rapid mijloc de transport urban, are un cost scăzut, nu necesită spaţiu mare de depozitare. Dacă autoturismele folosite zilnic ar fi schimbate cu biciclete, atmosfera urbană ar fi mult mai curată…

ENGLISH VERSION

Biking has several advantages compared to other means of transport. It’s totally free of emissions and is thus not causing any damage to the urban atmosphere. Also, cycling is known as the most energy efficient means of transport.
Biking is also recognized as being healthy for the user, due to the physical exercise performed by the cyclist. Using the bicycle as a daily means of transport is an easy and convenient way to integrate physical activity in an urban lifestyle.
Biking is cost effective. The bicycle has low space requirements; it is a quick means of transport in urban areas, often the quickest mode possible.
There would be a significant environmental benefit if urban car-journeys could be changed to bicycle journeys.
