Un alt film din seria Private Century, colectie ce propune filme realizate din home-videos. See zou in Denver spune povestea a 2 generatii ale familiei Cvancara, din 1920 in 1970, aratand impactul pe care Primavara de la Praga l-a avut asupra vietii intelecualilor din Cehoslovacia. František impreuna cu fratele sau cresc in cinematofraful familiei, uitandu-se la westernuri. Odata cu nationalizarea industriei de film, familiei ii este luat cinematograful, iar František dat afara de la universitate, arestat iar apoi reuseste sa emigreze.

The film is a part of the Private Century series based on home footage the intimacy of which reflects or social history. See You In Denver tells the story of two generations of the Cvancara family from 1920 to 1970, showing wery well the impact of the so called Prague Spring on the life of intelectuals and artist in the former Czechoslovakia. Frantisek and his brother grew up in their father’s cinema and were indelibly influenced by American Western films. The nationalized film industry dispossessed the family of their cinema and film rental and the Czech protagonist was banned from colleges, imprisoned and finally emigrated from his socialist homeland.

A special issue of a Week in Film newsreel giving witness to the military intervention of the Warsaw Treaty troops in August 1968. It shows the chronicle of events between August 21-28, when in Bratislava the congress of The Slovak Communist Party took place. 

THE WAKE [24min]
The film follows the funeral of Jan Palach in January 1969, the first from the group of students which signed a suicide pact in protest against the occupation, turned into a major protest against the political reality both in Prague and Bratislava.
