Revizuind perioada de glorie, din anii 70, ai formației Sumé, prima trupă de rock care a cântat în limba groenlandeză, filmul este și un portret al unei culturi în curs de dezvoltare lentă, după secole de colonialism. Deși populația nativă este de origine inuită, cea mai mare insulă din lume a fost guvernată de Danemarca timp de peste 200 de ani.

Documentary Mondays este un program regulat, de proiecție a filmelor documentare cu teme sociale, ecologice și dedicate drepturilor omului, organizat de Centrul Ceh București.
In the 1970s the Greenlandic rock band Sumé released three albums that changed Greenland’s history. They influenced an era, boosted the self-esteem of the Greenlandic people and motivated the political process of establishing Greenland’s Home Rule Government. And the country’s first uprising against the Danish colonial powers.
