AMPRENTA, un proiect curatoriat initiat in 2008 de Vava Stefanescu, “ofera coregrafilor invitati o intalnire cu ei ramificati. Cu ei prezenti in diferite propuneri coregrafice proprii si cu ei in demersurile celor pe care i-au invitat sa faca parte din proiectul lor.” (Mihaela Michailov – Altitudini nr. 30 / august 2008)

IOANA MONA POPOVICI este coregrafa de origine romana cunoscuta pe scenele internationale. Traieste si lucreaza la Praga, iar majoritatea creatiilor care i-au adus consacrarea sunt realizate in afara spatiului romanesc. A absolvit Liceul de Coreografie „Floria Capsali” si apoi, in 1998, Universitatea Nationala de Arta Teatrala si Cinematografica Bucuresti, sectia Coregrafie.

NINA VANGELI (Cehia) este critic de dans, traducatoare si regizoare. S-a nascut si a studiat la Praga. E licentiata in teatrologie si istoria teatrului la Facultatea de Filosofie a Universitatii Carol din Praga. Interesele sale sunt inradacinate in miscarea scenica, in “physical theatre” si teatru-dans, ca si in aspecte parateatrale si marginale si in fenomenul jocului. Ca publicista, scrie in principal despre teatru-dans si “physical theatre”, atat pentru periodice culturale cehesti cat si pentru presa zilnica. Ocazional face traduceri de publicatii din domeniul ei. In prezent, isi sintetizeaza experienta si pregateste publicarea unei carti numite “Poetics of the Body”.

ENGLISH VERSION

The curatorial program FINGERPRINT, initiated by the art manager of the National Dance Centre in Bucharest (CNDB), Vava Stefanescu, consists in organizing performances, exhibitions, screenings, discussions and meetings with invited guests. This year’s edition, taking place between 1st – 10th April, invites dance lovers to meet Ioana Mona Popovici.

IOANA MONA POPOVICI is a choreographer of Romanian origin, currently one of the most interesting personalities on the Czech contemporary dance scene. She studied at the „Floria Capsali“ Ballet School and graduated from the University of Dramatic and Cinema Arts, Bucharest, at the Department of Choreography.

NINA VANGELI is a Czech critic, translator and director with deep interest in scenic movement and physical and dance theatre. She majored in theatre theory and history of theatre at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Charles´ University of Prague. She is interested in scenic movement and physical and dance theatre as well as paratheatrical, borderline aspects, the phenomenon of game and theatrical experiment. As a publisher, she writes mainly about dance and physical theatre for both Czech cultural periodicals and daily press. Occasionally, Nina Vangeli also translates books from the area close to her interests. At the moment, Nina Vangeli is summarizing her experience and preparing the publication of a book under the title „Poetics of the Body“.
