Documentarul descrie experientele echipei nationale de fotbal a persoanelor fara adapost (homeless) din Romania si participarea acesteia la Homeless World Cup Melbourne in decembrie 2008. Personajele sunt sase oameni fara adapost din Timisoara si din imprejurimi, adunati de Mihai Rosus, coordonatorul si antrenorul echipei. Acesta incearca sa-i transforme in sportivi, chiar si amatori, in ciuda statutului lor social.
Vasile Bereghi, Beniamin Calancea, Pavel Calancea, Daniel Podina, Claudiu Kostity, Radu Muntean (nu regizorul) sunt membri echipei de fotbal a Romaniei. Celeilalte echipe.
Documentarul Australia, o productie originala HBO Romania, spune povestea fiecaruia dintre ei in parte, si-i insoteste de pe strazile Timisoarei, prin cantonamentul de la Buzias, pana la experienta de a obtine primul pasaport din viata lor si de a ajunge pe un alt continent pentru a-si reprezenta tara. Regizorul Claudiu Mitcu a reusit sa realizeze un documentar observational construit in jurul personajelor sale.

ENGLISH VERSION
The documentary traces the experiences of the national soccer homeless team of Romania and their participation at the Homeless World Cup Melbourne in December 2008. The main characters are six homeless men from Timişoara and it’s surroundings, brought together by coach Mihai Rosus who is trying to make them sportsmen, despite theirs social status.
Vasile Bereghi, Beniamin Calancea, Pavel Calancea, Daniel Podină, Claudiu Kostity, Radu Muntean are the members of the Romanian soccer team. The other team.
Austalia tells the story of each of them, following them on the streets of Timişoara, during the cantonment in Buzias and as they succeed in getting their first passport and fly on another continent to represent their country.
